The two-day workshop Scientific Writing & Presenting covers the basics of academic writing and research communication. Successfully writing up and presenting one’s own science requires basic knowhow, content knowledge, writing proficiency, strong research skills, creativity, organizational ability, patience, and confidence.
This course provides doctoral and postdoctoral students with the background and skills necessary to present scientific findings and further develop a clear and concise scientific manuscript. Participants, therefore, learn the strategies and techniques to best convey their research results to a broader audience. Besides, they become familiar with the fundamental principles (style, organization, structure) of writing an effective scientific paper from start to finish.
Participants should bring a laptop computer with any operating system for writing exercises.
Copies of checklist, list of useful phrases, and various samples will be provided.
